About the Firm
Who We Are
Véritas Architects is a multidisciplinary practice working across architecture, interiors and landscape.
Founded in Mumbai in 2018 by Ar. Aarav Sharma, the studio has grown into a team of twelve architects, interior designers and landscape architects sharing a commitment to contextual, considered design.
Our projects range in scale from private residences to hospitality destinations, cultural institutions and master plans. What they share is an approach rooted in place, climate and the specific needs of those who will inhabit them.
We are not interested in signature style. We are interested in finding the right answer for each project.

How we think about design
Architecture belongs to its place
We begin every project by studying its context — the climate, the topography, the cultural history, the urban grain. A building that could exist anywhere is interesting to nobody.
Restraint is generosity
The instinct to add more — more complexity, more material, more expression — is almost always wrong. Restraint creates the space for the inhabitant to bring meaning.
Section is everything
The plan is how architecture is drawn. The section is how it is experienced. We design through section — through the vertical relationship of spaces, light and structure.
Buildings should improve with age
We choose materials that age with dignity — concrete that patinas, stone that weathers, timber that mellows. We design details that hold up to decades of use.
Our Process
How a project unfolds
Every project moves through five stages. Each builds on the last, creating a process that is both rigorous and responsive to what each project demands.
Discover
We begin by listening. Understanding the client, the site, the climate, the programme and the cultural context. This phase of deep research shapes everything that follows.
Concept
A clear organising idea that gives the project coherence. Not a formal gesture for its own sake, but a spatial logic rooted in what we have discovered.
Develop
Rigorous development of the concept across all scales — from massing and section to material palette and construction detail.
Document
Complete technical documentation that communicates design intent precisely to contractors and consultants, protecting the quality of the final outcome.
Realise
Active presence on site throughout construction. We do not hand over drawings and disappear — we see every project through to completion.
What We Believe
Our Values
01
Context
Every building should belong to its place — its climate, culture, and history.
02
Material Honesty
We use materials for what they are, not what they can pretend to be.
03
Light
Natural light is the primary material of architecture. We design with it deliberately.
04
Restraint
We resist the temptation to add. Every element earns its place.
05
Longevity
We build to last — in material quality, spatial flexibility and aesthetic durability.
06
Craft
We value the skill of making things well, at every scale from city to door handle.
